Hudson County
Regional
Bus Circulation and Infrastructure Study
Hudson County Division of Planning, through a
grant from the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority,
is conducting a study to improve the regional bus system. The
study focuses on improving and upgrading the existing physical
infrastructure to improve efficiency, safety, and traffic flow
in the county. The result will be recommendations such as
intersection improvements, signage, bus stop upgrades and
turning lanes, all designed for short-term implementation and
improvement in safety and travel times for the county’s bus
network.
Through a series of open houses, public
drop-in sessions at major transit locations (e.g., Journal
Square), and presentation of information on Hudson County’s
Internet site, the study team will seek input from the community
and transit riders concerning specific traffic and safety
problems that most affect bus service and transit travel in the
county.
Please make your opinion known by filling out
our online survey! The survey may also be printed and either
faxed or mailed to the fax number or address below.
