A meeting of the Hudson County Planning Board has been scheduled for Wednesday January 18, 2012, at 6:30pm (Agenda). The meeting will be held in the Freeholder Chambers on the 3rd Floor located at 567 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ. Open Space Survey

The Hudson County Division of Planning and Open Space Advisory Board are pleased to announce the 2011 Open Space Survey. We welcome public input to guide the Reexamination of the County's Open Space, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Plan. This survey should take approximately 5 minutes.

Hudson County 2011 Smart Growth Awards

The Hudson County Planning Board is pleased to announce its second annual Smart Growth Awards. The Division of Planning compiled a list of projects that were approved by the Planning Board in 2010. Applications were evaluated based on site selection, site design and proposed green infrastructure criteria from a number of sources including the American Planning Association, The U.S. Green Building Council, and NJ Future. The Hudson County Planning Board selected the following as award recipients:

Gold- Union City Board of Education Student Sanctuary, Union City

Silver- Schuyler Crossing, Kearny

Bronze- Advance at Hoboken, Hoboken

Peter B. Higgins III, Smart Growth Award for Leadership- Debbie Alaimo Lawlor

Smart Growth Award for Planning and Policy- Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Plan, Jersey City
