Description of Services
This office is charged with protecting, educating and representing Hudson County Consumers. It aggressively responds to consumer complaints with a staff of state-certified consumer advocacy investigators who are charged with resolving those complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
The Office of Consumer Affairs researches and analyzes consumer issues and recomends changes in consumer law to the Governor and the Legislature. This research also provides the basis for investigations that stop unfair practices that violate consumers’ rights under state law.
