Hudson County Celebrates Indian Independence Day

Satyameva Jayate! — Join Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders and the leadership of the Indian-American Community of Hudson County as they celebrate the 64th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of India with the raising of the Indian Flag, and presentation of proclamations to leaders within the Hudson County Indian-American Community. (Note: "Satyameva Jayte" means, "Truth Alone Triumphs" the motto of the Republic of India). The ceremony will be held Friday, August 13th, at 12:15 pm at Hudson County Plaza, 257 Cornelison Avenue, Jersey City, NJ (Flagpole entrance to County Plaza).
