SPLASH AWAY! — Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and Union City Mayor Brian Stack press the button to start the new water play area in Hudson County's Washington Park in Union City. The county recently reopened the park's newly refurbished playground. At over $1 million, the restored playground area now feature all new water play systems, all new slides, swings and other play ground equipment, refurbished park buildings, fences and landscaping. The new play space is part of a $6.5 million package of playground improvements throughout the County Park system paid through County capital dollars.
